I was wondering if someone with one of these cards OPTi 82c929 was able to fix the only bad point about this card wich is some games not being compatible with SBpro and the sound is mono.
This is a video review of the card https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okxN4GVLJRI

I was wondering if someone had the chance to try this, it appears this card has some retro fans on github that made a gift for us> https://github.com/JKnipperts/OPTi82c929_Driver

so...

i have not tried it because my card is on a storage place, but this sounds too good to be true, as SB16 cards are getting very expensive these days and opti managed to build a really good card with OPL3 for DOS retro games, for example mine is like the one on the video but with a real yamaha chip.

Note that those issues only occur in SBPro mode. If a game supports WSS (and many do) use that option for a bug-free experience.

I can't speak about the drivers that you linked since I own an 82C930 model. However, OPTi did release official fixes for certain games which improve SBPro compatibility for their cards. You can find those attached in this thread: OPTi 82C930 review Don't use the 930 drivers on your card, just apply the fixes from EPICFIX.ZIP and HMIGAME.ZIP as instructed by the respective readme files.

PC#1: Pentium MMX 166 / Soyo SY-5BT / S3 Trio64V+ / Voodoo1 / YMF719 / AWE64 Gold / SC-155
PC#2: AthlonXP 2100+ / ECS K7VTA3 / Voodoo3 / Audigy2 / Vortex2
PC#3: Core 2 Duo E8600 / Foxconn P35AX-S / X800 / Audigy2 ZS
PC#4: i5-3570K / MSI Z77A-G43 / GTX 980Ti / X-Fi Titanium
