I found a new Micropolis 1991WAV hard disk but none of my Adaptec/LSI SCSI cards can detect it 🙁
I have not had any problems identifying SCSI hard drives so far. Are there any settings I missed?

Many things can go wrong with SCSI.

Is this the only device on the controller? What controller exactly are you using? Separate terminator on the cable or not? Is it a known good cable? What SCSI ID is the drive set for? Is autodetect enabled on the controller? And so on.

Later Micropolis products had a less than stellar reputation for reliability, to put it mildly.

AFAICR, that 9GB model was something of a minor legend on that front .

Oh I forgot, does it have any marking (sticker, sharpie) that says "DOA"?

"Int.Type D/W"

It probably means Differential Wide.
Can't work with a Single Ended host adapter, more: damage is possible.
