Going over some old photos I stumbled across this set up from May 2002

I had a headless Dell Latitude L400 laptop with some sort of jerry rigged cooler and fan setup (damn, check out the lack of care/insolation on the CPU fan cable 🤣) likely hooked up to a 10mb (or maybe 100?) switch and sporting an old DOCSIS cable modem which from memory was a 1Mbit down and 128kb up or whatever the standard was in Australia back then.

Surprisingly nothing caught on fire and it did connect to my CRT TV using a splitter cable of some kind
I recall text being horrible but video content (presumably DivX back then) being fine

Anyway thought it would be fun to share - anyone else got embarrassing setups from the "old days"?
