Hi all,

I have noticed that some of my AT power connectors are keyed with small plastic tabs.
Is it safe just to remove them and use any AT PSU with any AT Mobo? (with the black cables towards the middle)

Thanks!

Every AT PSU I'v seen has those tabs - that's how they should be.

Remove it if you want to, it often breaks anyway.

Thanks,
The weird thing is that they are not keyed the same.
On the PSU in the picture it's clearly visible that someone has keyed it by removing some of the tabs.
And the mobo I'm playing with today does not have any plastic tabs removed and hence not keyed at all🤔

wrong - you are meant to "rock" the connectors into place. The picture you showed has slots for the tabs

nobody has "keyed" it, some of the tabs simply broke off cause someone probably yanked on the connector :p

as said, all the pins have slots for those tabs.
