Hello,

lately I was watching game engine tech demos on youtube and even if quite late since their release I was still really impressed by for ex. some Unity Engine demos like "Adam" short real time movie of the 2016 and the third party sequels and the latest episode so impressive that I got goosebumps for the graphic, cryptic storyline, sound composer.. comparable somehow to the good old demo feelings like old 3DMark2000 or 3DMark05 not only technically but for their emotional gfx/sound demo part.
These are just "cinematic short real time rendered scenes" and maybe not comparable to a real game but am I the only one that would like the tech demo scene to be more active and with free executable releases like it was/is in the Commodore 64 times (still is I suppose) to try render these outstanding graphic/short demos with real hw? These might be a reason to have a computer upgraded to latest components instead of boring games or only engine advertising videos. At the end bench/demo like 3DMark in the early 2000's did help to upgrade many many computers imho.
Any opinions?
Thanks
