Does anybody have drivers, manual or any other info for this card? I've looked through all of archive.org, but so far I've found nothing.
Wow ! Interesting ! Has a 80c186 cpu which is a bit rare for an ISA card AFIK. Have seen 186 cpu in some old Laser Printers and other things but not an ISA card.
Did you read this: IWILL SIDE VLB IDE/SCSI/IO controller setup? ? The fifth post down Ter Roshak said he had one and explains the jumpers.
I will look around but my luck lately has been bad.

I couldn't get the card to work and I've thought it had something to do with those jumpers. Turns out, they only set the address for the controller's BIOS. My issue was related to me using a fairly exotic Pentium VLB motherboard with a 2/3 divider for the VL bus (looks like it does set the bus to 44 MHz, who knew). As soon as I set the the jumper back to 1/2 (33 MHz) I got the card to boot.
I've looked through the SIDE Jr Pro manual and it looks like my controller doesn't have even half of those features 😀 The HDD can only be set to 0/1/2 (I assume those are PIO modes) and there is no "optimize" option or a way to change IDE timings. So all in all this card does seem to be very different from those Side Jr+/Pro cards, unfortunately. At the very least the card won't boot if I don't set up the HDD in my motherboard's BIOS.
Maybe there was a BIOS update? Gotta be fun updating all three chips 😀
Also judging by the Usenet posts it seems like those cards were sold under the Quick Technology brand. I wonder if there ever was a website for that company — not the easiest name to google.

Yeah, that site only serves adware, but I've found the same archive on Metropoli. Seems like it's from something called SIDEjr L and it also references "optimize" function and PIO mode 3 that my controller doesn't seem to have.
