I got this buffalo 286->486 upgrade for my compaq portable ii, but it doesn't seem to drive the bus in my portable (at least the machine behaves like it has no cpu at all.

The attachment D7F23606-F060-4FE6-BB4B-0C0449BA7B85.jpeg is no longer available

Anyone nearby with a machine who would like to test it out for me?

If it's bad it isn't so broken as to fry the board. Portable worked fine when I put the 286 back into it. It fits into a PLCC socket.

Sorry, I'm outa range, but, cool part! I might want to look out for one of those if I get a Commodore 286 bridgeboard in a big box Amiga some time.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.
