Hey,
Casual old games rarely get much attention. My definition of casual games is that they fast to get into (and out off) and that they are relatively easy.
What games can you recommend?

Most dos games fall into this category I find. especially platform games, levels are short, no real story line to worry about breaking the "flow" and pretty basic controls.
Here are some DOS ones I enjoy and are easy to get in/out:
-Raptor: Call of the Shadows
-Stargunner
-FPSs like Doom/Heretic/Descent/Quake, etc... not a lot of commands to learn, and you can quicksave/quickload and play in short bursts
-Death Rally
-Mortal Kombat
-The Incredible Machine
LO-RES, HI-FUN
scorched earth
elastomania aka action motocross
Oo elastomania, i had forgotten about that one!
I tried death rally the other day, have it in big box since the 90s. I totally sucked at it!
Chinny is somewhat correct I guess, action games were pretty casual.
One game I just thought of was worms.
Tank Wars
Mario & Luigi/SMB
Hoyle Classic Card Games
Hoyle Book of Games
Wheel of Fortune
Get Lost
Flying Tigers 1 & 2
FitUp!
I also tend to find Sim City and Sim City 2000 pretty casual.
