It's probably a Pentium of some sort, so I assume it's a PCI/AGP interface, probably a pre-PICMG or PICMG competitor based on it being an industrial SBC, but I have never seen one like this before.

Looks very similar to EISA but also similar to how AGP looks connector wise but isnt either of them.

PCI+ISA buses in what mechanically looks like an EISA slot.
You need a PISA backplane.

Given the chips on it, I'd say it's Mendocino or Coppermine with an i440ZX/BX or i815 chipset.
I find it very interesting that it has an ESS Soundchip on it.

for this one you technically need no backplane at all, it has everything on board and can be run completely independent if you don't want to add any other add-on cards.
