Hi there.

Is there any driver, to use SATA CD-ROM/DVD-ROM under MS-DOS 6.22?

I tried RLoew's one, but it didn't find my drive; https://rloewelectronics.com/distribute/AHCICD/1.1/

My mainboard is: ASUS P4V800-X and it has VIA Chipset in RAID mode, as post-BIOS screen reads as:

VIA VT8237 SERIAL ATA RAID BIOS UTILITY
Scan devices...Please wait..
Serial_Ch1 Master: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NS95

As I checked, no changeable IDE-AHCI-RAID settings in my BIOS.

Any clue?

Regards.

Set the device to work in IDE mode in the BIOS. I don't think native SATA support exists.

Hi Kahenraz, thanks for your reply.

There is no such option in my BIOS.

My SATA CD-ROM is recognized via integrated VIA RAID bios. There is nothing related to SATA in motherboard's BIOS.

Can you disable the RAID feature?

If there is a free IDE channel, you can also use an IDE-to-SATA adapter and bypass the SATA controller entirely.
