I'm running DOSBox in a Ubuntu VM instance on MacOS. I'm playing Doom II and notice choppy audio. Is there a way to resolve this? Or perhaps is it due to running DOSBox inside a VM?

I would prefer to run DOSBox in the Ubuntu VM as I don't completely trust the security of the app enough to install it on MacOS.
