Another Exotic build that i finished.
This one is kind of special because it was a hybrid system with PCI and C-Bus. It was one of the last systems from NEC before the leave the pc-9821.
It runs a japanese windows98 SE . I managed to disable the onboard sound to get the PC9801-86 to work.
On the IDE bus is a 4GB CF adapter with the OS. On the internal SCSI bus (adaptec) is a SCSI2SD V6 with a 32GB SD as storage.
As GPU i installed a Voodoo Banshee. The other pci socket holds a USB-2.0 board.
I did a complete recap of the PSU and the mainboard with nichicons.
For the Sound i choose a 9801-86 with YM2608 chip and also a Roland MPU for Midi.
