I just tried it, nothing sees it?
So curious, it is not claimed to work on XP so indeed I had no expectations of it working, or not.
I didn't do much of any BT stuff back in the day so I'm no expert. A Cirago combo BT/Wifi dongle I have used on occasion and on a fresh (up for years) XP that I prepped with what I thought was all it needed NLited into the install of my X8 X58ish 5520 Xeon, the dongle came up with all seemingly working, sees stuff, stuff sees it, etc.
The M575 switches its light from solid white (uni dongle working) to blue flashing(searching?) and nothing. The XP does not see it. Debian scanning with btscanner does not either, but then it doesn't find working headphones, and does see the BT of XP if set to discoverable...
So I think the M575 trackball doesn't work with XP bluetooth. Bummer. I was hoping to use it and click to bt mode while reaching in with x2vnc since the keyboard works perfectly. I can't find a suitable scale factor for the x2vnc mouse action in most games.
I used to know what I was doing...
