Using DOSBox for the first time and can't find the answer to this one.

I have succesfully (as far as I can tell) gotten to the point where I launch the .bat file that starts the game (outside of DOSBox) and instead of the game starting I get this:

Path of AD&D game disk 2:
E:\AD3WIZ\GATEWAY\

I have both the DB folder and the game folder on drive E, anything I put there just gets added with another \ and it waits for another input.

Have I set it all up wrong or does this game just not work with DB?

It seems you may have to check some configuration file for correct paths. You may need to try with and without backslashes (\).

The games should work. I guess did something wrong... How did you mount harddisc in dosbox?

I tried it two ways:
mount e e:\ad3wiz and mount e e:\ad3wiz\gateway

both give me the exact same results when I get to the go.bat command.

What has me even more baffled is that I can get Pools of Darkness to run fine which is one of the sequels and came off the very same disk.

Why aren't you mounting it as a virtual C drive? Some games expect to be run from the C drive instead of something else...

What about mout e e:\ ? If you do what you did the path E:\AD3WIZ\GATEWAY\
of course does not exist in DOSBOX...
