Hey all,
First , thanks for this great resource. You all are doing a wonderful service to many people.
Ok, so here is my problem. I have DOSBox running and the settings seem correct, when I get to the initial install screen for the game and hit INSTALL, I get a message that says: "Game needs 0 bytes of disk space, you only have 0 bytes available." This error comes up over the Select Destination Box. Once I click Ok on the error box, both boxes disappear. I have my CDROM and HD mounted in DOSBox, but I may be missing something. It seems to not be able to see anywhere to installt the game, maybe?

Thanks again.
chad

Please, write down the EXACT commands used for mounting everything. Also, you could try tinkering with the -freesize option for the mount command.

Intel i7 5960X
Gigabye GA-X99-Gaming 5
8 GB DDR4 (2100)
8 GB GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (Gigabyte)

I used this:

Z:>mount C "C:\DOSBox stuff\prince"
Z:>mount D "D:\" -t cdrom -ioctl

It's possible that the default 100m free reported HD free space in DosBox is too much or too little for the game. You might want to try adjusting it to a higher/lower value.

Ok... I tried:

mount C "C:\DOSBox stuff\prince" -freesize 10
mount C "C:\DOSBox stuff\prince" -freesize 250

No love on either of those.

ok here is what it took for me to get Prince, the best game ever... well until Alien Crossfire. Old School rocks. I got same error about no space yada yada yada...

I found this site: HOTU [undwerdogs may require some wits to navigate, i persisted and finally got the download link...]

That rar file (XP doesnt do rar, so go to download.com and find some rar opener) actually dumps the whole game as an installed working directory!!!!

MicroProse would be happy imho that the game lives on, and its sequel sux. Dont even start me on that, good to know DosBox rox.

Once that file gets unloaded imho burn it to a cd rom so in the future you can copy it *.* onto all your next PC's...

Once the .exe gets written dont forget to patch it to 1.1 (?) i did a google on it and found http://www.filelibrary.com/Contents/DOS/86/75.html but that is slow but worked...

i dont know which patch you will need, but once you get access on the hard drive it is all LOVE!
