Sometimes designated hybrid. I believe the early intel based Macs made use of this. Anyway, interested in Linux or other non windows iso's. I know of 3 - Fedora 28 - 36 (roughly), Puppylinux, and Clonezilla.

I'm having problems with this old thing, need to be able to "cleanse" the internall ssd, as any attempt to install anything turns up errors. The hardware could be faulty. But I suspect that might not be the case. I have "fixed" drives in the past by installing an OS that was dissimilar from what was presently on the drive. Windows 7 did a bang up job once when nothing else worked. But my disk doesn't support hynrids. Perhaps 7 never did.

Made some progress. Installed an old (28) version of Fedora to tje hard drive. But Win10 restoration is still giving problems. I restored the very same image 2 days ago. Not sure what's going down.

Ok so I had downloaded a 32 bit Win10 image and despite all ptevious efforts, it installed just fine. Mouse pad doesn't work currently but a driver should cure that. This had never worked before but seems fine now. Did Windows check the key in firmware and decided all was kosher? The thing when new had 8.1. I upgraded.to 10. So that upgrafe in effect upgraded my key? Whatever. Will this thing decide to tell me in a day or two I have so many days to activate? I want to give this to someone, or sell it if all else fails. Wondering what's the scoop.
