hello friends. I have a Compaq DeskPro EN I have recovered and restored (it was even a cockroach nest, eww). as a reference, the same model as this one: Compaq Deskpro EN PD1060 can handle a good AGP card? but with an active cooler and an 866MHz PIII. It has an AIMM module too. but I also have a problem.
PCI graphics cards work on it but not AGP ones.
With some cards the PC immediately issues a video problem (recognizable by the pattern of beeps and blinking the Caps Lock led) . With others it takes a little longer to do so.
Any idea why and what I should do?

What graphics cards have you tried? Dionb's recommendations in the linked thread were good.

After watching many YouTube videos about older computer hardware, YouTube began recommending videos about trains - are they trying to tell me something?

sorry I hadn't seen your comment, earlier.
I was finally able to successfully test some cards. part of the problem seemed to be a dirty slot. thanks
