Recently I've been enjoying some of the old desktop games that shipped with older versions of Windows or in Microsoft's packs like Best of Entertainment - things like Minesweeper, Taipei, various solitaires. I realized that almost all of these that I know are by Microsoft, with the only other one I can think of being a shareware Scrabble game called Scrabout.

I'd like to find more point-and-click timewasters to play with, beyond Microsoft's well-known offerings. I'd be grateful if you'd share any of your favourites, commerical, shareware, or otherwise.

I got a MS Mahjong game from the microsoft Store. It turns out Microsoft has a whole website just for casual games : https://microsoftcasualgames.com/

Edit: Of course i missed your last sentence wich says no microsoft... ok then 😁

I also enjoy puzzling. Here is a website where you can just upload a picture and turn it into a puzzle (even multiplayer) : https://puzzle.aggie.io/

That's fine. . . my line of thought was "what else is there beyond Microsoft Best of Entertainment?", imagining a world of shareware like Snood from back in the day. I hadn't even thought about modern stuff, but it's all good.
