Hackaday is pretty similar to a forum, just with more focus on projects and project logs.

I hang around the "Twitch Retro Community", other than that and VOGONS I don't really have any other place I regular at. ArtyomHavok and FractalMindMike are at the "epicentre" of this as far as I can tell. I was part of DOSember 2023 last year.
I was trying to get involved with the "Doom Community", used to be on the "ZDoom Forums" but then my girlfriend became victimized by a transphobic-fueled conspiracy started by someone very abusive she blocked back in 2018 and we've both been banned from pretty much everywhere regardless of the actual truth of the matter.
Yes, I was banned both by being associated with her and because I was trying to fight back the spread of misinformation that continues to run rampant; so really that whole community is a lost cause at this point.
