How can i speed up Redneck Rampage?

Redneck Rampage is running so slow i can't even play it.
I have my cpu increased to 100% and frameskip to 10, i have a 1.70 Ghz intel celeron processor and 512 mb of ram. I'm running it thru dosbox thru windows xp. How else can i speed it up? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

BTW: i have a basically unmodified dell dimension 2350. factory sound and video cards.

1.7Ghz Celeron may be too slow for running it at acceptable speed. What hardware specs. do you have?

Intel i7 5960X
Gigabye GA-X99-Gaming 5
8 GB DDR4 (2100)
8 GB GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (Gigabyte)

Works perfectly for me, except in step 5 where it says to open another prompt window I use the same or it won't work.
