I want to play the german Game "Das Amt". I mount d with the Syntax:

mount d d:\ -t cdrom

and my harddisk

mount c h:\

When I want to run the game an error appears.

VDFS Error: Dieses Programm braucht MSCDEX oder NWCDEX um auf CD-Rom zugreifen zu können.

(Tranlation: VDFS Error: This program needs MSCDEX or NWCDEX to read CD-Rom.)

Program abortet

VDFSMaker kann nicht gestartet werden

(Translation: VDFSMaker couldn't get startet)

Das Programm ist nun beendet

(Translation: The prgram is abortet now.

Please help me, I want to play this game...

What version of DOSBox are you using? You might try a CVS build (see the development forum)

I use the newest original Version, I think 0.62.

The latest official version is 0.63, but it too is old. CVS builds are many months more recent.

Also, try adding "-ioctl" to the mount command options.

hi,

i have the same problem.

i tried this:

mount d d:\ -t cdrom -ioctl -label WTF

but it still doesn´t work

who can help me?

heh. the -label "labelname" is the actual label used by the CD that you are mounting. So with the CD in the drive, open up a command prompt in windows, change to the CD drive, type "VOL" and it'll show the label.

Then that's the label that you use in DosBox.

im sorry it doesn´t work
now dosbox says

error: the file config.dat is incorrect
