I installed driver 77.72 but windows nt defaults to vga compatible display adapter every time. NVIDIA DESKTOP MANAGER will not open either. I noticed my card doesn't have a heatsink, is it dead?

I think my card is dead because CPU-Z is not detecting it either.

If you get an on-screen image in BIOS and DOS then I doubt your card is dead.

AFAICR, first generation Geforce 2 MX cards were typically sold with a heatsink.

Maybe test it in another OS and, whatever the OS, make sure motherboard chipset drivers are installed.

Found out there are no windows nt drivers for the motherboard asus P2B-D Intel 440bx agp. Guess I'm out of luck with AGP, gonna have to find a PCI GPU instead.
I think I'll get Matrox Millennium GPU.
