Re: Worms

I just downloaded the demo and it runs fine for me too. I'm pretty sure its because I have the Sold Out version, as I had a search on the Team 17 message boards and some people said that it runs fine for them on XP (with no sound, but I'm sure VDMSound could fix that) and when I had the original …

Re: Worms

I managed to find one no CD crack, but couldn't get it to work (said it couldn't find something). I'm not sure how it could work, as the game runs completely from the CD. Only 492KB gets installed to the hard drive, basically just the sound setup, a couple of configuration files, the launcher and a …

Re: Re: Worms

Does your version of this game use MIDI or CD-Audio for music? CD-Audio. Try choosing the most basic SoundBlaster option, Address of A220, IRQ of 7, and DMA of 1. Then try using the "Run with VDMS" option without the little musical note. Stuck on a black screen straight away. I had an apparent " …

Worms

Has anyone managed to get the original Worms to work with VDMSound? I just get the first two cinematics with no sound and then it gets stuck on a black screen. If I try to run it without VDMSound it just gets stuck on a black screen straight away. Also, for some reason its setup program detects the …

Nightlong

I'm trying to play an old Windows adventure game called Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy. Thing is, when I try to play it on either of my newer computers the graphics are really messed up. It looks like one part of what should be displayed is copied across the screen and then it has lines through it …

Re: Gabriel Knight

I've got the Windows version, but for some reason when I try to save my game it crashes to Windows. The DOS version will run if you select no soundcard for audio in the install program, but I really want speech and sound effects.

Gabriel Knight

Is there any way to get the DOS version of Gabriel Knight 1 to work with VDMS under Windows XP? It always crashes after the Sierra screen.

Re: Sam & Max

in DOS
Thanks, it works. But there are a few small sound problems where the wrong sound effect will play. Like, when S&M get out of the car you here a toilet flushing and when they enter snuckies it plays people cheering and it plays the car schreeching to a halt noise a few times through the intro …

Re: Sam & Max

in DOS
Already tried ScummVM, the sounds all messed up. Whats a floppy version interpreter?

Dott

I don't know if you already know or not, but its not in the compatability thing.. You can play the newest CD version of Day of the Tentacle (2001 dott/s&m double CD) straight from the CD with all sound if you enable the diagnostic report under troubleshooting in the VDMSound LaunchPad.

Sam & Max

in DOS
When I try to run Sam & Max with VDMSound it crashes, any idea why? I've got the newish version that comes on a CD with Day of the Tentacle. This version has no sound setup program, I think it must auto detect the sound settings when the game loads.
