duplicate install? would it not just install over the current one? shouldn't I remove the current one and then do a new install?

I find the DLLs that are needed and I downloaded them. Now this error goes away, but a new one appears: "the procedure entry point SDL_strlcat could not be located in the dynamic link library SDL.dll".
