Syndicate works fine for me with default settings. I've almost beaten the game again in a few days. Try DosBox 0.65, it loaded up right quick.

Well, my only experience with DosBox so far is Syndicate Wars. I learned that menus run differently from the game itself. In SW, the menus run at cycles=17500 and the game runs at cycles=80000.
