Earth 2140 - 0.73 decrease in performance

Hello, new release (0.73) has really decreased performance in Earth 2140. 0.72 performed much better. The problem is that Earth 2140 itself works in 0.72 just fine, but Mission Packs run in 0.73 but there's no sound (although game detects it correctly) and when it plays video it completely freezes …

1) I didn't ignored anything. Yeah, sorry my bad. Those batch files just called (not on purpose) recursively that's why it was freezing. Anyway thanks for help.

Any batch file freezes DOSBox, that's the problem. It seems I will have to manually mount each directory of each game I will play.

It is hard to reproduce, because even I have problems to reproduce it :) Sometimes manually mounting as non-C drive works sometimes don't (C works always). Now, I was able to freeze DOSBox running BAT file (unmodified, which worked before) :) DOSBox is real mystery to me now. EDIT: DOSBox freezes …

Well it is totally independent which drive I use to mount the folder as long as I do it manually. Using Autoexec section or some BAT automation crashes the whole thing up. I think this could (finally) be DOSBox issue.

No I never had problems with these games (I always used 64 MB memsize). 16MB didn't worked (I tried even 8MB).

So the game is Comanche 3 (as well as F-22 Lightning II, which I guess uses same engine so it crashes too). No after mounting there's no change in the memory listing (mem). Config is in attachment

code120: I declare this problem (aspect ratio) as solved (I wanted to use opengl, but I was forced to use ddraw). My real problem is that memory problem (not related to RAM).

Kippesoep: vga mode was removed from 0.73. Yes, I've tried ddraw, it solves aspect ratio problem, but doesn't solve the other problem with extended memory.

Reboot? I rebooted of course, that's the first thing came to my mind. That's not the issue. OK, my bad about Intel Pentium Dual-Core. Vista? Try making any kind of folder sharing between XP and Vista - impossible (from my own experience). The only thing that's not keeping me from buying notebook …

Whoah, aspect ration is not my issue now. I mount like 3 folders and a game doesn't start complaining: Insufficient extended memory to run program with default config and mounting 3 folders . What is this? I tried even 0.72 (which IMHO is much better than 0.73, not counting annoying splash screen) …

wd: but I definitely take it as it was irony/sarcastic. Kippesoep: Just for info: VESA game with option to select from 2 resolutions (640x480,800x600). The rest of this game issues (like not always working sound) can be found in this forum.

No, it's not. Using opengl output, no scaler defined, aspect=true, fullresolution=0x0 (oh, what a hack). Anyway thanks, however I'll look into sources today for that bug.

Thanks, but it doesn't work for all games. Most of my games work correctly, but there are some that remained unscaled (instead of scaling and stretching, they're just unscaled just like in window)
