I have the same hardware setup as you, but I use the DOSBox defaults: "mpu401=intelligent, device=default, config=" (leaving config empty uses the default device from Windows). The USB MIDI interface will be of more use because it will work on any computer with a USB port, not just one with a Sound Blaster. It should work fine with Dosbox as long as you set the Microsoft MIDI Mapper to the USB MIDI Interface instead of SB Live! Synth or MS Software Synth. You can do this …

Thanks, Dominus! That answers my question! Yeah, I was confused- I thought that the MIDI-USB cable would somehow transmit the MIDI to the MT-32. That really wouldn't make any sense thinking about it. This joystick/game port to MIDI cable would work for my SB Live! Value card.

Interesting, I never really knew about the history of the Amiga until reading about it now. How did it compare to the PC back in its heyday (~mid to late 80's)? I imagine you played The Three Stooges on WinUAE and you can hear all the digitized voices?
