Now just to get it straight. Your not talking about talking about "Unreal" from Epicgames right? I`d be absolutely amazed if that game even ran in dosbox at present. I know it could be run in dos but still.

I`d certainly put that in the MUST HAVE AT SOME STAGE list. But to memory a very small number of dos games had 3dfx graphics in them. GLQuake and Chasm are 2 that quickly come to mind. Can`t remember if Unreal could be played in dos or not. I`d certainly love to see 3dfx supported, but for me …

Well I would certainly say that accelleration should be an essential addition at some stage, but not anytime soon. Though 99.9% of dos games that have accelleration work in windows, im sure there are a few that dont. Which is where dosbox would come in when that day comes.

Harekiet: But from a emulation perspective, isn`t the point to be emulating as many soundcards as possible so that users could emulate those old computers we used to have and hear the sounds we all used to hear back then? Rather than a "close enough and is basically the same as sound card B" method …

Still reading it as we speak 😀. After listening to a few of the samples and getting upto the Roland LAPC-1, and hearing the great sound quality incomparison to adlib etc all I can say is WOW. Are there any plans to add compatability with this sound card to dosbox?

Mind my complete noobieness to these things but what changes (soundwise) will the adding of opl3 to the soundblaster emulation make? As I know absolutely nothing about these kinds of things. And what is it exactly?

Personally I hate the idea of having a million and one batch files laying around the place. Most games have between 3-6 .exe, .com or .bat files in the one directory.
