Has anyone run the Cyrix 120 with optimal settings in a VLB board with a good video card? I presume 40mhz vs 33mhz in video benchmarks is not going to give much benefit?

It's a good enough deal and you can easily expand the memory to 2meg, alot of 1meg cards use those memory chips with legs good luck finding memory to upgrade those.

Should be a good match for that system, even a low spec 5500 shouldnt be a problem as the memory on those cards can vary alot.

I have the cx5x86-100 CPU as above with a green heatsink, does not run at 120mhz I was surprised as it's like a 97 or 98 build CPU.

Celeron 433 might work as a drop in CPU? Otherwise I think a basic slot 1-370 adapter could work with a 533/566mhz celeron, after that you might be spending big bucks for something faster.
