Honestly I joined in relief. I found out that other people had an obsession with Japanese midi modules, socket 3 cpu's, and dos command lines.

Geforce 2 Go and dos sound support! That is a potent combo! How does the FM synthesis sound? Also, bet you my Inspiron 8100 weighs more. =) I think sometimes it is a good thing that they don't make things the way that they used to.

So with such a low power (15.4 watts) low speed chip, I'm thinking the thermal pad would be fine. Anybody think to the contrary and think that the paste and shim job will make a large difference?

I just purchased a Sony Vaio pcg-v505he. It is working wonderfully, but I opened it up to clean it out (blow out the dust etc). I unscrewed the heatsink and instead of dried out thermal paste it had a verrrrrrry dried out thermal pad. I have never seen such a dry cracked thermal pad in my life. …

I remember that Street Fighter Alpha 2 had a win95 version that ran at VGA resolution. I trying to remember if it had any of these problems. I have it somewhere, maybe I should go dig it out and check.

Does anybody have any recordings of the MUNT emulation? I'm really excited about the MT-32/CM-32L emulation possibility with this product. I have a real CM32L (lucked out and got it before prices soared), but I would love to have an excuse to not put as much wear and tear on my device!
