Re: Planning to build a Win98SE-era gaming PC

I'm planning to build myself such a PC one day as well - but I don't have much of a clue since I simply don't know which motherboards are supporting Win98SE nowadays. Same goes for the other peripherals. So thanks anyway for what you have already written here : It gives me at least some hints ... 😉 …

Re: MAC OSX problem

but filenames and directory names with the length of 11 chars is relatively seldom. Still didn't get it, right? They are the ONLY usable thing for dos games. Re: MAC OSX problem

I see. Dodn't know this guide before, because I used another one I found through the Wiki, I think. Perhaps it would be a good idea to include in that guide an remark on this "8+3 style" shortening of volume names, just to avoid confusion. At least I must say that it highly confused me and that I …

Re: MAC OSX problem

Hello, maybe I can help a little bit: Under DOSBOX, only the first letters of a file name or volume name are shown. DOSBOX shortens everything like thisisaname~1.txt , this style. The bad thing is, that it does this with CDROM names as well ! Even worse, in my configuration, I can't access these …
