Re: Support for Micro Machines V3

Great! It has a 32 bit installer, I didn't need a VM for this one. Maybe forcing the setup app into Win98 mode was needed, cannot remember. OK cool, thanks for that! I'll double check my copy, could be I've forgotten and getting confused with another game. EDIT: Yep it does indeed install fine in …

Re: Support for Micro Machines V3

Thank you very much for this! Works perfectly! Just incidentally how did you install it on 64 bit Windows? I believe it has a 16bit installer and so a while back I had to install it in a 32bit VM, copy all the files over as well as the registry entry to my 64bit installation. Also for anyone who …

Support for Micro Machines V3

I have been trying to get dgVoodoo2 to work with Micro Machines V3 but have been unsuccessful. Running Windows 10 with nVidia GTX980 graphics card. Initially I had trouble getting Micro Machines to work in Windows 10 as it would crash when loading a race. I realized the issue was that the game …

Re: DOSBox-X branch

Hi there, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as to where I could find an easy to follow tutorial on how to compile the latest version of DOSBox-X (including all it's features like SDL_Sound, SDL_net, LibPNG etc) with Visual Studio Community 2015 using Windows 10 x64. Or …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

I'm the friend that Krondorf was referring too. We are both useing latest D-Fend Reloaded on Windows 10. On the 16th of October we were playing the CD version of Worms United and Reinforcements. I was the server and Krondorf was the client and all worked really well. We tried again on the 19th and I …

Re: TR1 on 64-bit Vista problem

adding the line joysticktype=none isn't enough. you need the section header as well [joystick] that is I wouldn't even set joysticktype=none I'd rather go set timed=false instead in the end your .conf shall have to read: [joystick] joysticktype=auto timed=false autofire=false swap34=false …

Re: TR1 on 64-bit Vista problem

Well, I've had some time to check things out, and my experiences with this version of Glidos primarily relate to Tomb Raider as I don't own the other games that Glidos supports. I've been running it on Windows 7 x64 with an Intel C2D 6400 and Geforce 8800GTS 512 using latest drivers. I own the …

Re: TR1 on 64-bit Vista problem

Awesome!!! Thank you so much Paul for this releease and the time you've put into it. I've been patiently waiting for this for a long time :) I went to the website today to check things out and I saw the bit about 64bit OS support and I had to rub my eyes a couple of times as I wasn't sure I was …

Re: TR1 on 64-bit Vista problem

I was unable to get Tomb Raider to work in VirtualBox, and while I'm certainly not an expert on the subject by any stretch of the imagination, I got the impression there were some components missing in its OpenGL implementaion that were required by Glidos. I'm not sure, maybe someone could shed some …

Re: TR1 on 64-bit Vista problem

wrong you can hear TR1 cdaudio track music in 0.73 and you can in 0.72 as well as long as you mount cdrom with -noioctl switch (under Vista 32bit) So what you're saying then is that DOSBox supports the Tomb Raider Audio Pack that you can download from the Glidos website. Yes? If so, how? I didn't …

Re: TR1 on 64-bit Vista problem

Anyway, I have plans for 64bit. For ages I've been planning to add DOSBox support to Glidos, and I might have the time in the next month or so. It looks like I just have to add VDD support to DOSBox, and it'll all just work. I think it's worth the effort so that people can use the TRX textures and …

Re: Glidos for x64

Now that would be something to look forward to - getting it to work with DOSbox would be a fantastic idea. 😀 Hopefully its not too difficult to do. The one thing I like about Glidos is that I can run Tomb Raider at 1280x1024 whereas with DOSBox I have to run it at its usual resolution.

Re: Glidos for x64

Thanks for your replies guys :). Your info was helpful. I wasnt able to get VDos32 to run Tomb Raider under XP x64 either. But as you guys say its more to do with the game itself rather than Glidos or VDos32, although VDos32 doesnt want to unlock over the net in x64. Keeps asking me repeatedly to …

Glidos for x64

Hi there I was wondering if it were possible to bring out an x64 version of Glidos? Ive made the move over to Windows Xp x64 for varying reasons and have no need for x86 version anymore, nor do I have the inclination to have a dual boot computer. No point having a x86 partition just for Glidos when …
