Re: Cinematics for Fade to Black do not play

I figured it out. It was so simple! I noticed the CD-ROM was being mounted with -usecd 0 -noioctl in the .conf file I had made for the game. This was a copy of another .conf file for another game where those perameters were needed. I removed them and the videos played perfectly... with the -2 switch …

Cinematics for Fade to Black do not play

I'm not sure what's going on with this game. I install the game normally off of the CD into the default C:\F2B directory (C: is a mount of C:\Games. The CD is mounted as D: ) The game appears to install fine. When I run the game, it automatically takes me to the first playable part. It completly …

Re: 7th Guest and DirectX Beta Player

in Windows
I have this newerish version as well. It has the beta Windows exe. The exe crashes shortly after the intro, but it plays the music. When I try it in DOS it plays the game without any crashing, but the intro music does not play. This happens no matter how I configure the CD drive in DOSBox.

Re: Syndicate Wars gameplay speed

On second thought, the only "issue" the game has is regarding to the mission gameplay speed (plays normally) and the menu speed (way to fast). Other than that, works perfectly! If I were to play the game in VGA mode instead of SVGA then I can set the cycles down to 35,000. This makes the menu …

Re: Syndicate Wars gameplay speed

your pc can handle 80.000 cycles ? I'm pretty sure that core normal and your pc can't handle that amount. That would explain the slowness. Yeah, I had tried it at 100,000 cycles, but it played too fast at 640x480. At 80,000 cycles it seemed to play fine initially, but it certain areas it was too …

Syndicate Wars gameplay speed

Is it possible to get Syndicate Wars to play at a consistant speed? It seems like the game is either on crack fast or in a depression stooper slow depending on where you are on a game map. I have it at 80,000 cycles for 640x480 play. I've tried Dynamic, Simple, and Normal cores and it all plays the …

Re: Bioforge issues >_<

This is what I have for autoexec section of my .conf file. Change what you need and copy it to your autoexec. You cannot mount directly to the game directory. CLS mount d D:\ -t cdrom -usecd 0 mount c c:\games c: cd\bioforge bioforge exit

Re: The 7th Guest

Maybe someone can help me. I have a 1997 two CD version of The 7th Guest. No matter how I mount the CD-ROM I cannot get the intro red book cd audio to work. The rest of the game plays fine, but the cd audio track won't play during the intro credits. I've tried mounting it the following ways with no …

Re: Little help with BLOOD

Nevermind. I got the game working perfectly now. I uninstalled (deleted) blood and reinstalled it. Then instead of installing 1.11 I installed the 3Dfx patch which is actually version 1.20. After that both the CD audio and the video sequences play fine. If anyone is wondering, you can get the 3Dfx …

Re: Little help with BLOOD

Maybe someone can help me with a problem I have with Blood. I want to use the CD Audio available on Blood disc 1. I've initialized my CD/DVD player with the following: mount d D:\ -t cdrom -usecd 0 -noioctl When I start blood it will go through the logos (two of which come up black BTW) and then it …

Re: Sound skips when reading from a CD

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'll try making and mounting images. I'm sure that will stop the sound from skipping on access. I'd still like to use the CD though... because I'm just weird like that. I have faith that the reader in my DVD/CD drive won't burn circular paths on the disc with …

Re: Sound skips when reading from a CD

I have no problems mounting the drives. I was just curious if others have found a solution to the skipping audio when DOSBox uses the CD. I suppose most get their games through other means that don't require a CD. Not me... http://www.gamespot.com/users/AdamK47/images I try to run the game as true …
