Where do you unzip the OpenGlide.exe to? The game that you are trying to play's directory? (I.E. C:\Program Files\Acclaim\Forasken)? Or just any directory? Anyone that can provide a quick tutorial I would appreciate it! Thanks in advance...

I understand Glide/ 3DFX is a voodoo chipset thing. I guess I am trying to run Forsaken, but not limited to that. I guess I am lost when it comes to "emulating" glide. Do I need another prog to run in conjunction with that dll? Because all I have is that Glide2X.dll in my Windows/system32 directory. …

Yes, I am using the openglide dll, and I replaced it with that XPglide dll just recently. I think the problem is that the Geforce3 does not support glide nor 3DFX, just Direct3D and OpenGL, but I could be wrong...

And I want to run my old 3DFX/ Glide games. GeForce does not support 3DFX I don't think, but I miss playing all these glide games... I downloaded the glide2x.dll and put it in my WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 directory (XP Professional) but I still get just software rendering... 🙁 Any help would be appreciated. …

Those errors are on the Windows 98 machine... I haven't applied the patch though yet, I will let you know. This site is truly a godsend for those of us 'retro' PC gamers! Deleted the INI file (I would back it up first) and stopped every proggie from running in the background (CTRL-ALT-DELETE, end task.) Worked like a dream. Worth a try...

I am running the latest VDM sound 2.0.4 (update1) and Abandon Loader (latest ver.) Try as I may I cannot get Heretic running at normal speed...music is slow and when I move my character everything gets even slower. Any help would be appreciated.
