this happened to me too on an older p1mmx mobo I had (can't remember which though...) it just would not boot with the LAPC-I installed... I ended up using a different mobo 🙁

@retro games 100: LAPC-I on eBay... prepare to spend!!! I got about 2 years ago my fisrst LAPC-I (just the card) for ~95eur... and on summer 2008 I got my second boxed and full one with it's breakout box (almost NOS) for ~300eur.... madness! The CM-32L I got costed ~70eur last year...

I have the SC-8000 version... no simm socket, but to my knowledge it has sb(pro) compatibillity and 1MB wavetable set. A nice card for when it was released IMHO
