oh my god nevermind how embarrassing

So I am running Return to Zork, and everything seems to be fine except for that I can't seem to get the inventory up. It's possible that I'm just being an idiot and that I'm just not doing the right thing to get it, but I don't know. It comes up when I have the option to ask someone about the items …
