Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

Suggestion: It would be nice if when setting up a profile for an individual game, you could tell it to use the current setting from the default template for various settings. I've found that I often want to tweak a setting and make it apply to most (if not all) profiles, but I currently have to …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

When setting the icons size to 64 in D-Fend 7.0 the program icons are pixelated like they were just resized from 32x32. Is there a way to make the look clear like their desktop shortcuts? I'm trying to archive all my windows and dos games in D-Fend for easy access and organization. I tried it in …

and it seems they dont have any legal problems. Says who? on mobygames.com they address this topic in the FAQ here . they refer to the "Fair Use" agreement in US law, by which usage of material... "...for purposes such as criticism, comment,...or research, is not an infringement of copyright." i …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

Hi mandark0, very nice icon collection. I will use them on my personal games base. But bundling icons made from cover scans (from corvers owned by the game publishers) with DFR sounds a bit problematic for me. DFR is strictly open source and the license for the icons is at least not completely …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

:exclamation: They're freaking AWESOME!!!! Thanks! thanks! you're very welcome! :happyhappy: there is a new thread regarding games-icons over at the "milliways"-subforum here . the thread-starter posted some links too. i've also posted my stuff there. i suggest we continue icons-related talk there, …

Re: Looking for game icons?

in Milliways
hi! this might fit in here: i've made icons for all 131 games in my current DOS-games-collection. they are mostly edited from cover-scans of the game-boxes. every single icon-file includes the icon in several size/color-combinations up to 256x256px RGB. in case anybody is interested: i've uploaded …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

i guess, this is a bit OT here, but i've made icons for all 131 games in my current collection. they are mostly edited from cover-scans of the game-boxes. every single icon-file includes the icon in several size/color-combinations up to 256x256px RGB. in case anybody is interested: i've uploaded …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

hi again! i tried playing around with custom icons a bit, and came across the following two issues: - in the file "%DFR_DIR%\Settings\Icons.ini" it is stated: "The filename can be absolute or relative to the D-Fend Reloaded data directory (this directroy)." afaics thats not the case anymore. the …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

1680x1050 resolution into the fullscreen resolution drop-down menu under graphics options Hi, Litude Well, You can add it yourself in the user folder/D-Fend Reloaded/Settings/ConfOpt.dat file. Just edit it with the notepad and add the desired resolution mode in the second section of the file ([ …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

i discovered a minor glitch in beta2 of version 0.7.0. in the program settings, the freedos-settings seem to show wrong text-parts. they seem to be the texts of the scummvm-settings. this at least occurs in german and english language. see the attached screenshot, which shows the problem in english …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

hi alexander! i have a new feature suggestion for d-fend reloaded. it's about the display of icons in the "icons view". as you probably know, an ".ico"-file can include various resolutions of an icon file (up to 256x256px in vista). DFR however, always seems to displays the icons at 32x32px. it …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

hi alexander! i have an additional suggestion for your already great tool regarding scummvm. on this website one can download a custom version of scummvm and (absolutely great) digitalized midi soundtracks for a couple of adventure games. to use these soundtracks e.g. for the games "legend of …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

Hi mandark0, this is a very good idea and no, there is no way to make D-Fend Reloaded do this at the moment. (Before someone suggests instead of calling DOSBox.exe directly calling a batch file which will run XPADDER and then DOSBox: In DFR you can only configurate paths to custom DOSBox versions, …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

hi there! i've just stumbled across D-Fend Reloaded and i'm very impressed by it. i've been using D-Fend and then D.O.G., but development seems to have stopped on both, so i was looking for something new. and along came D-Fend Reloaded. i must say it's by far the coolest DOSBOX-frontend i've seen so …
