Maybe a bit off-topic, but does anyone now what exactly the EPROM described on this page (http://www.oldcrows.net/~patchell/mt32/mt32.html ) does ? 😕 cheers J.

In no particular order , as these are different types of games : Death Rally : this game stays addictive, even after having played it multiple times... Little Big Adventure 1 and 2 Warcraft II Monkey island 1 and 2 Leisure Suit Larry games

No idea, but if you make sure that these directories - where you put your dos applications/games for dosbox - have names that are no longer than 8 chars ( evt. 8.3), you should have no problems locating them in dosbox. J.

Hi All, it's been a few weeks since I saw any change in the sourceforge CVS repository of dosbox. I know that there has been some maintenance by Sourceforge, but this should be done by now (as e.g. Scummvm seems to be updated almost-dayly). What could be wrong ? greetings, J.

Try increasing the value of memsize in your dosbox.conf file, e.g. memsize=16 J.

With my Sound Card (SB audigy), I had no sequencer (midi) support using the OSS driver.If you own this card (or a SB Live! or similar) I'm afraid you'll have to use the ALSA driver (don't know what Linux distribution you use, but on Suse , you can easily select this in the Yast configuration utility …

Please wait for a new release or use a recent CVS build. In version 0.60, it also crashed on my system. On the later CVS versions not anymore. See http://users.pandora.be/annejurgen/dosbox for a recent build from CVS if you are using windows.

I had the problem that - when I had my joystick installed on Windows, it slowed down dosbox. Maybe that's the reason ? J.

Well, it càn be done ; with the more recent cvs versions, on my 'slower' AMD Athlon 1300, I can easily run most of the games at +9000 cycles without overloading the cpu, if you set overlay=true (or scaler=none) etc., so on a shiny new cpu at 2,6 Ghz , it should be possible to run dosbox at 18000+ …

It should also run under prboom/vavoom , note that also the 'heretic' wad files work with vavoom, J.
