Yes, I think so. I don't know for sure, but it really looks like a connector from the amateur radio scene. It's appearance is similar to that of the plug for SO-239 socket (PL 259 or UHF connector), I think. They were quite popular back then and are still used for antennas and such.

Many of my dads EPROMs are from the 70s and require a voltage of 21v to 24v for programming. A few of them are so old, that they need a long time exposure of UV light until they are erased.

Can you access the PC-Card slot from DOS ? Sometimes the needed drivers are loaded before Win95 starts. If not, maybe your ThinkPad can boot from it. Then all you need is a CF card and an adapter.

Hi, I think it would help, but only to some extend. A recap can't fix a flawed audio circuit. (-> noise from the ISA bus).
