I've posted on Github an Inno Setup script that installs Winevdm automatically. Here's a compiled installer: EDIT: See a later message. You can see the script in an issue post on the winevdm Github site. The installer seems to work, but of course use it at your own risk.

PCFile should run perfectly well in vDos: http://www.vdos.info You won't need a VM or anything equally complicated.

Have you tried vDos (www.vdos.info)? It's far more suited to databases than DOSBox.

Are you asking about a Windows 3.1 application or something else? No one can help without knowing what you are asking about. If it's a Windows 3.1 application, then the answer above tells you how to print from it. If it's not a Windows 3.1 application but a DOS application, use vDos: www.vdos.info

Open the windows 3.1 Control Panel. Double-click Printers. Click Add>> From the List of Printers, choose Apple LaserWriter II NTX Click Install. Click Connect Under Ports, select P:\OUTPUT.PRN Click OK Click Set as Default Printer. Click Close.
