Just bought Terminal Velocity, and I'm running into some keyboard problems in DOSBox. It seems that, for some odd reason or another, DOSBox sometimes starts repeating a key press like crazy and doesn't stop when the key is released. Any idea what it might be causing this?

Actually, you'll still need a copy of Windows 3.x if you want to try old Windows games on DOSBox. Wine actually attempts to be able to replicate a lot of Windows functionality even without a copy of Windows, so Wine is much, much more complex than DOSBox. And yes, I think it does support Windows 3.x …

That's odd, I play the DOS version of NetHack, which uses CWSDPMI, and CWSDPMI works here.

I only run NetHack in DosBox on my desktop because XP refuses to switch to my custom DOS font, even in fullscreen. Yes, I'm running Windows 95 on my laptop, but no DosBox. Just wondering if I can change the colors.

K. FYI, I think the latest DOSBox does in fact support OpenGL, but keep in mind that it still has to emulate older video cards, so a lot of video stuff is still hapenning on the CPU. It's nice to hear that somebody's interested in new ideas :). BTW, DOSBox is Open Source, so you can already make …

Er, he ask "where" the emulation is running, not "what" it emulates. The answer is the emulation runs on the CPU, but it emulates pretty much everything.

I tend to agree - XML is getting to be a bit overused - all those tags, and usually no documentation to tell what they mean! Not to mention I have no idea how to get and use an XML editor :depressed: . An INI structure isn't much worse than XML - I really fail to see what the big differences are, …
