It looks like from your mount command that your trying to creative a virtual "Z" drive using your host "D" drive. There are some problems with this.... 1. Most DOS games expect the CD to be the "D" drive. 2. DosBox already has a Z drive. It's used for it's internal commands so you cannot mount it. …

List your OS List your Service Pack Level. List your video card List your what version video drivers you are currently using. Tired of seeing people who have to use Windib. Mabye if we can get a sizeable amount of posting's some brilliant individual who is experienced with SDL can fix it.

I've never noticed a diff, but this is over USB2/1394 connections.....and if your trying to access a game .ISO over your USB1 connection I think you've got other problems to worry about. 😉

NTFS compression works nicely on images. Probably not as well as .rar but if you like to mount your images alot NTFS compression does give a bit of space back.

There are DirectX specific compatibility hacks in the ACT but I doubt that they will help. If they game uses ddraw instead of d3d then you may want to try MS VPC or VMware.

If so and you don't use multiple .conf's then you may as well remove that .conf parameter since DosBox automagically uses the .conf if it's in the same directory as dosbox. …

"Constructor" is an 11 letter name. DOSBOX only support 8.3 character file names. The 8 is everthing that comes before the "." and the 3 is everything that comes after the "." EX: 12345678.123 or MSD.EXE Since your directory name "Constructor" is too long, DosBox will have to shorten it for you …

You would place NTVDM in DLLCACHE if you want to keep the NTVDM in SYSTEM32 from being overwritten, if it was overwritten the the NTVDM in DLLCACHE would automagically copy to SYSTEM32. A virus/spyware could still overwrite both but some protection is better than none.

It probably doesn't mention Windows 9x since 9x users are MUCH more compatible with DOS games than NT\Linux\Other OS users. That said 9x still isn't as compatible as DosBox so perhaps Windows 9x should be added? or perhaps not...who wants to support 9x users?
