LossLess Comparison http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Lossless_comparison For IPOD owners: http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipods.html Just found out today that Apple recommends smaller file sizes. I've been debating for some time now wether to use Apple Lossless so I don't have to worry …

Re: Pallet colors change after exiting dosbox?

Could you post the contents of your DosBox.conf file please? Specifically we are looking for what Output= says. You may also want to try the different output methods and see if that fixes your problems. Also...are you using the latest Radeon drivers? IIRC, the latest are Catalyst v5.8, although I …

I've never noticed a diff, but this is over USB2/1394 connections.....and if your trying to access a game .ISO over your USB1 connection I think you've got other problems to worry about. 😉

Re: PC Game Compatibility List

Updated 9-22-2005 Another month another update. The # of non-functional games seems to be getting smaller and smaller. Currently it's in the 70's for 2000/XP/2003. Roughtly 26 of these games are DOS games so once these games are fixed via DosBox (much more likely than getting the Windows games …

in Milliways
Anyone know of where I can find ASCII copies of books you buy at the store? I have a bookshelf full of about 1000+ books that I've been collecting well....since I was born. Most of 'em are in good shape but some are falling apart, also it would be nice to have my entire book collection with me when …

You would place NTVDM in DLLCACHE if you want to keep the NTVDM in SYSTEM32 from being overwritten, if it was overwritten the the NTVDM in DLLCACHE would automagically copy to SYSTEM32. A virus/spyware could still overwrite both but some protection is better than none.

Re: Operating Systems

It probably doesn't mention Windows 9x since 9x users are MUCH more compatible with DOS games than NT\Linux\Other OS users. That said 9x still isn't as compatible as DosBox so perhaps Windows 9x should be added? or perhaps not...who wants to support 9x users?
