It would take very detail image quality analysis to determine which chip of the three mentioned produce better pictures. I don't think anyone is willing to do it. And even then would remain factor of individual sensitivity to particular deficiencies.

Ouch that is really a lot for V2, they are not so rare really. Not that I don't understand impatience, I just spent 18 pounds for plain Rage II. Wish there was a marketplace for old video cards.

Think my path was like some Tseng Labs 2 MB PCI Voodoo 3 3000 PCI GeForce 2 MX 400 Radeon 8500 LE Radeon 9800 Pro Geforce 6800 GeForce 8800 GTS 320 MB Radeon 4850 512 MB Radeon 6950 2 GB Was happy with all of them, hard to pick by longevity. Price considered 8500 LE and 4850 were best purchases.

If some sku killed 3dfx then it was GeForce 2 MX. People might demean balance and certain features of GeForce 2 but it was still the best thing for quite some time.

IIRC 5200 did not have/used the bandwidth savings features of higher models like color compression.

Think I've found the game with hardware cursor- good old Hardwar. There was no performance difference with 325 or DX. Then again some cards like ELSA are specified explicitly as single cycle.
