I had the same problem. The Windows Media Center IR receiver software messes with the key mapping. In my case the solution was to simply unplug the IR receiver. I did play around with it on a laptop with one built-in and it seems you need to uninstall some drivers. http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic. …
