Re: New DOSBox Frontend - DOSBox Game Launcher

Thanks for the update. I haven't had a chance to try the newer version yet, but just a quick note to say that I've been using the previous version for a few weeks now, and it's been working well. DBGL has just allowed that extra level of convenience - only one single shortcut on the Windows desktop …

Re: New DOSBox Frontend - DOSBox Game Launcher

* Added 'Settings' dialog box for running DOSBox in -noconsole mode (benkid77) and manipulating the 'Dynamic Options' (see comments for v0.43) Thanks rcblanke, much appreciated! I'm shortly going to download the updated version, and start the task of getting all my game/app profiles set up. Once …

Re: New DOSBox Frontend - DOSBox Game Launcher

Hi Ronald, Firstly, thanks very much for taking the time to read and investigate end-user's feedback, and for the swift response. I'm sure most users on here do really appreciate this, and I'm really grateful for your detailed and imformative reply. Having now read through your post, I say I'm …

Re: New DOSBox Frontend - DOSBox Game Launcher

Thanks rcblanke - this looks like a really good frontend. I like the simplicity of the interface, once the app is all set up. I've been using DOSBox for a while now, but haven't used a frontend before. Until now, I had been using about 3 different manually edited config files to play 90% of my games …

Re: Pinball Fantasies-Unable to start game, pl pl help!

in DOS
I've got Pinball Dreams 2. It plays perfect under DosBox at 10,000 to 20,000 cycles. But you must temporarily lower the cycles to less than 3,000 during the intro and menu screens, then raise cycles again when the table appears on the screen. Otherwise it locks up.

Virtualisation is going to get worse, Your post made me realise, Snover, I'm using American English all the time now, even though I'm English, and still living in England. I just seem to fall back to American English naturally now, when I'm posting on forums such as this. Hehe, I just can't stop …

Re: win95 emulators for xp

in Windows
Yes, I've only ever had to do this once. I succesfully used VMWare (I think it was a trial 30 day version or something) to run an obscure budget game called "My friend Koo" It worked perfectly, with perfect sound. Guest OS was win98-SE. Host OS was WinXP. I think I needed a computer 3 times faster …

Re: Mouse display problem

This looks very similar to the problem I have with the game "legends of valour". Please see the following link. http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=7149 I notice that someone with DOS programming knowledge posted a possible idea to fix this in that thread. Seems like it's possibly an issue with …

Re: Interstate '76

in Windows
I've been fortunate that the game has always ran fine under XP on my system, although I had to download and install the several patches I found on gamespot. No windows compatibilty toolkit options were needed. But, I had to turn sound acceleration down to the lowest notch in dxdiag (as mentioned …

Re: Mouse problem with Dosbox and Stonekeep

Although I previously posted that I got the game working succesfully, I have since attempted to play it more under DOSBox 0.63. I have now also experienced the exact same problem with the mouse pointer being pulled towards the right hand side of the screen. I didn't notice it at first, but now I …
