Both really nice systems, think you have late dos and Win9x era pretty well covered. Depends on what games you play, Glide or D3D if you go with the voodoo or GF5, the Voodoo is a better matched IMHO

If that's what you want then go for it. Any selling now would have failed long ago if they were bad. Excluding ones dying due to general age of course, but that's in fate's hands. But they were cheap and slow even for the time so that old scsi card may still work out faster 😜

I've had that on my 486 at times. Sometimes its just safer to enter the parameters in manually rather then rely on auto detect. Never seen the other issue though!

If you need the space or cash, sure. Depending what you have it may be worth more to part them out though. Just be careful you don't regret it few years down the track like so many of us have. I'd hang on to anything with sentimental value few more years just in case.

Vista killed off a lot of the demand as well. Creative lost their major selling point (EAX) with even alchemy more aimed at getting older games working rather them creative trying to push a licenced technology. Just so happened this is when on board stopped sucking

You can pretty much get away with no CD drive these days if you have a large HDD and network card. I've got drivers and Win95 install files on a separate partition, and once Windows is up I can transfer files aver the network if needed. and just about all my games are no-cd cracked, partly to help …
