Exactly the same problem here. I'm running WinXp on a P3 1Ghz. with VDMSound I get exactly the same problem as Yoni. For me, it plays the whole intro without ANY flaw. Then, after the 4th enemy on the palace wall (everytime the 4th! I don't even get to the quicksand) the slowdown occurs.

Yes, I tried DosBox, the game then won't run at all with the errormessage "Couldn't find resource file PRINCE.DAT" ...must be something with the paths, I don't know, the file is there. No, I didn't try Emulators, I got none yet.
