Dude 486 wont benefit from 12ns, even 15ns is overkill, these days there were mainstream 20ns and 25ns chips.

Well the olnly problem is, that 386 does not have full speed L1 CACHE, and 486 does. L2 cache is just a bonus. And games and bencmarks that use many program code brances, are pretty even. But if you get some 486 optimized code that assumes 8kb L1 cache , then things change. And all those programs …

That i know! But if you cheat your program to use Disney driver with Covoxer, the sound works, it only checks that the FIFO buffer is not full, and FIFO tells it to the computer by holding LPT pin10 low. If it goes high, then it does not send sound information. Am I right?

Ok I have a question for Dosbox developers and Covox maker, how do you make Wolfenstein 3D detect it as Disney Sound Soure, can i connect LPT pin 10 constantly to GND sufficient. Or is the detection mechanism more clever?

Warcraft I with Warcraft II mouse controls!!!! Thats all I need. Maybe resolution change, like in C&C. Dune 2 has the same problem, that is fixed in Dune 2000 and Command & Conquer. I like to play these games with only a mouse, point and click, like modern RTS games.

I can confim, it is a Cyrix clone, Texas, IT's, and IBM, all made them, because cyrix did not have its own waffer plant, and made loose contracts with hes supliers. So they "stole" the schematics 😁

Ok, my intrest is not the fastest, but the best emulators, but for DOS. I can make a P3 800MHz or Celeron 1GHz retro rig. But need a good collection of DOS console and home computer emulators. And is there a DOS Commodore SID music player available?

PS. No need to format entire drive. Because of the 4 partitions in there. Last 2GB partition is like backup. Firts 3 1GB partitions are here to play around. And you can allways go to some Abandonware site and download new games ;) Windows NT 3.51 and Firefox 2.x is perfect for that. Works on a 486. …

The LCD is ripped from somekind of industrial computer BETA Betascan. And moddified to stand on a table. It shows all resolutions OK. Its small i have not measured, but i think 12"-14". It takes 12V and its for testing purposes. I can assemble computers and test them. To add files ther are cables …

No the riser is just standard 1-to-2 ISA riser, found it somewhere. I only sawed few top connectors off. Because it did not fit, only 2, and only one usable, for Sound Blaster. Second one is facing other side, if you remove the hard drive, you can use it for something. I tested my selfmade COVOX …

This diode is conected to +5V line and other end is thru a resistor near the battery. This will provide charging current to the battery. Then you can modernise your mobo. Because today every board uses lihthium cells.
