What do you need SB16 support for specifically? I use WSS via my YMF719 and it generally works and sounds great for those later DOS era games that benefit from 16 bit.

Good luck with it, they're good cards. There are older versions of that chipset too like the YMF701, which is not PnP. Still the same great compatibility but might cooperate with your board a bit more...? Or could be worse! Worth trying if you come across one.

I just use this: NVPatch - making UniVBE work on NVidia cards Let's you patch UniVBE to work with your card, and then UniRefresh will work with it too.

The 166MMX is pretty quick, I'd be interested to see what happened if you slow the machine down by turning one of the caches off. I could be way off but I know I've had trouble with the PAS16 in a fast machine. Might be worth a try.
