My current car, a 2000 BMW 540i. It has a 4.4L 282hp V8 with 325 ft/lbs routed though a 6-speed manual. Oh it's an absolute blast to drive. 😁

In the 90's I had no 3D card, I made do with an S3 Vision 864, but I lusted over the Voodoo2 ads in gaming magazines. My first proper 3d card was a Voodoo4 4500 pci which I got in early 2000. I still have it, though don't ever use it, the Aavid fan is an absolute piece of junk.

For some reason the dianogas in the 3rd Dark Forces level Anoat City freaked me out as a kid. I'd even cheat and skip levels just so I didn't have to see the dianogas. Apparently I was a wuss of a 10 year old. 🤣

During my freshman year they were retiring the old Performas and were bringing in the new 233mhz iMacs. By my senior year there were iMac DVs and a single G4 tower. My schools were always Mac-centric, except for a pair of Micron P2s in the library.

My Optiplex 620 originally had a Precsott 530 that I swapped out for a Cedar Mill 631, that did indeed cut down the temps nicely. Since the 620 can't run Conroes I'd be amazed if the 280 could. Nice score! Those things are amazingly well built, especially the cases. I've definitely got a bit of a soft spot for those machines, I've got a 390, 490, and a T3500 and all are running strong. There's just something so cool about using computers that were built not to be cheap, but to be good.
